Hi everyone , nama saya Collin. I`m from South Africa and I`m starting to learn Malay. I have a very big interest in Malaysia , for me it looks like a very beautiful place and I would like to visit it someday. I have decided to learn Malay and I would appreciate it if you guys don`t mind helping me here and there. I would also like to make some Malay friends.  |

Hi Collin, I thought there were malays in south africa. Emm.. cape malays isn't it ? Though I doubt they spoke the same language as we do here in the malay archipelago. For your information the linguistically correct term for the Malay variant used officially in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei is the Johor-Riau Malay. BTW I'm not a linguistic student, just some person with too much time at hand  . So forgive me, if I made a few mistakes here and there. Like the japanese saying "saru mo ki kara ochiru". Even monkeys fall from trees (though I haven't seen one yet). |
